and thus spent some time reading its source code, and discussing with
[Deluan](https://deluan.com) about its data model, making this
list of weird edge-cases as we went.

- Weird album names:

	- [Suede](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suede_(band)), known as "The London Suede" in the USA.
	- [Zoviet France](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zoviet_France), also
	known as ":$OVIET:FRANCE:", "Soviet France", ":Zoviet-France:" and latterly usually written as ":zoviet*france:".

	to avoid being confused for 2 distinct artists. Their latest EP,

	- [Sybreed](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sybreed)'s Japanese edition of
	[Antares](https://musicbrainz.org/release/909f8993-7c88-4d11-a9a7-5fba427af2e7) has 12 tracks, with the 11<sup>th</sup>
	being "Technocracy", while the [USA version](https://musicbrainz.org/release/8e133ea8-5d9b-4078-a950-79a539469d10)
	also has 12 tracks, but the 11<sup>th</sup> is "Plasmaterial". The
	[Russian edition](https://musicbrainz.org/release/0c42621b-5baa-4c36-b14f-896aa3143888)
	only has 11 tracks like the [Swiss promo one](https://musicbrainz.org/release/2dc8485a-7099-40d3-8fec-97f3bfa35d83),
	but the [European promo version](https://musicbrainz.org/release/ea3f6048-71ab-465f-a9ec-b728f3130ad5) only has 8.
	- The [Art of Noise](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Art_of_Noise) released 4 UK versions of their
	[Close-Up](https://www.discogs.com/release/609262-The-Art-Of-Noise-Close-Up) single with the same catalogue number and the same sleeve,
	but with different tracks, including a version that didn't even contain the track "Close-Up".
    - [Taylor Swift's remastered her albums](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taylor_Swift_masters_dispute) to regain complete ownership of her music.
- Licensing issues are annoying:
	- [MF DOOM](https://musicbrainz.org/artist/188711ed-c99b-439c-844a-ca831f63a727) released [MM..FOOD](https://musicbrainz.org/release/8dc35066-e444-445a-a8c6-bb112f8bc844) in 2004,

	due to an uncleared Sesame Street Sample.
- Different bands may have the same name.
	- Take "Emperor" for example. It could be:

- Some artists and albums will benchmark your utf8 support and annoy your operating system:
